Dinnder helps people discover restaurants and compare preferences with people they choose to connect
with. This policy describes the information used to provide the Dinnder service.
Information we use
Account information: name, email address, and profile information used to sign in,
connect with friends, and send transactional account or social updates.
Location: your device location, when you allow it, to find restaurants nearby.
App activity: restaurant swipes, saved places, and group or friend connections
needed to provide matching features.
Notifications and device information: when you enable notifications, Dinnder
stores a push token associated with your account along with device platform, app version, and
recent activity time. This is used only to deliver requested app notifications, open the relevant
Dinnder screen, and keep notification badges accurate.
Transactional communications: Dinnder sends email verification, password-reset,
and account-deletion messages. Buddy requests, acceptances, and mutual matches may be sent by email
when push delivery is unavailable.
Usage analytics: limited interaction and reliability data, such as App Store
listing clicks, screen views, and first-card load timing, used to improve Dinnder.
Waitlist information: email addresses submitted through the product updates form.
Service providers
Dinnder uses Firebase for authentication, app data, cloud functions, analytics, and push delivery;
Resend for transactional email; Google Maps and Places to provide restaurant discovery; and GetWaitlist
to collect product-update requests. These providers process information only to operate their respective
parts of the service. Dinnder does not use notification or transactional-email data for advertising or
cross-app tracking.
Your choices
Notifications are optional and are requested from the Notifications screen. You can decline the request
or disable notifications later in iOS Settings without losing access to the restaurant deck or your
saved Dinnder data.
Account deletion
Signed-in users can permanently delete their account and associated Dinnder data by opening Profile,
choosing the About, support and privacy button, and selecting Delete Account in the Account section.
This removes the account, profile, swipes, buddy connections, invitations, Stack membership, in-app
notifications, and registered push devices. A server-only copy of the account email is retained so
failed deletion confirmations can be retried; it is removed after both confirmations are delivered
successfully.
